Participant Waiver & Release

In this Waiver, "I," "me," and "my" mean the person who books and checks the agreement box at checkout — the participant, or, where the participant is under 18, the parent or legal guardian booking on their behalf (see section 6).

1. Assumption of risk

I understand that Bhangra is a strenuous physical activity involving jumping, rapid movement, and physical exertion, and that participation carries inherent risks — including muscle strains, sprains, falls, and other injury. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, whether or not specifically described here, that arise from participating in classes, workshops, performances, or related activities.

2. Health & fitness

I confirm that I (or the participant I am registering) am in good physical condition and have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe. I am responsible for consulting a physician before participating if there is any doubt, and for stopping and seeking help if I feel unwell.

3. Release & waiver of liability

In exchange for being allowed to participate, I release, waive, and agree not to sue Bhangra Creationz, Sahej Kaur Chawla, and their instructors, staff, and venue partners (the "Released Parties") from any claims for injury, loss, or damage arising from the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties or from the inherent risks of the activity, to the fullest extent permitted by California law.

This release does not apply to gross negligence, recklessness, or willful misconduct, and does not waive any rights that cannot be waived under California law.

4. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold the Released Parties harmless from any claim brought by me or on my behalf arising out of my participation, except to the extent caused by the Released Parties' gross negligence or willful misconduct.

5. Photo & media release

Classes and workshops may be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes. I grant Bhangra Creationz permission to use such images or recordings of me without compensation. If you prefer not to appear in promotional media, email bhangracreationz@gmail.com and let us know — we'll honor your request.

6. Participants under 18

If the participant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must register on their behalf and agrees to this Waiver for themselves and on behalf of the minor, including the assumption of risk and release above, to the extent permitted by California law.

7. Medical treatment

In the event of an injury, I authorize the Released Parties to arrange emergency medical care if needed, and I am responsible for the cost of any such care.

8. Governing law

This Waiver is governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute will be brought in the courts located in Santa Clara County, California. If any part of this Waiver is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

By checking the agreement box at checkout, I confirm that I have read and understood this Waiver and our Terms & Conditions, and that I am agreeing to it voluntarily. We record the date and time of your agreement with your booking.
